Selected topics of emerging markets: Capital flows and emerging markets

This course focused on several aspects of capital flows and emerging markets, providing students with the opportunity to engage in in-depth research in a specific topic. The list of topics is available on the website of the university. Students wrote seminar theses and presented in an external seminar with experts from a German bank. I supervised the seminar papers while conceptualization, grading, and organization of the course was done together with Professor Menkhoff.



Economics of Trade and Growth (MPP-C8)
Master level, Hertie School of Governance, Summer Semester 2016, professor: Franziska Holz

This course provided an introduction to central economic theories of growth and development and the closely related theories of international trade. The topics covered included among others: growth theory, trade theory and the role of preferential trade agreements, the resource curse, poverty and the role of institutions. The class was divided into lectures in which the theoretical basics are taught and the labs in which academic papers were discussed in detail. I was teaching two out of four lab groups.
